with David Prewett of Honeycomb Kitchen Shop
If you’re craving comfort food with a healthful, cultural twist, come explore "washoku" – Japanese cuisine with harmony – from one of the world’s renowned Blue Zones, Okinawa. Chef David Prewett will be bringing dishes inspired by the island’s wholesome, satisfying cuisine to life in the HKS Kitchen. The evening will begin with a refreshing Japanese sake served alongside crispy chicken karaage and shredded cabbage, a nod to beloved izakaya fare. Then, you will learn how to make a hearty curry katsu don with pork to serve alongside a pair of side dishes – savory miso-glazed eggplant and delicate agebashi tofu—each dish showcasing the balance, depth, and nutrition that define Okinawan cooking. Plus, Chef David will treat you to a matcha pudding for dessert. For a night of healthy bites, get your tickets to this class today. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person. Must be 21+ to attend.
