Discover the flavors and longevity secrets of the mountainous Oligastria region in eastern Sardinia, Italy—one of the world’s famed Blue Zones. In this hands-on cooking class with Chef David Prewett in the HKS Kitchen, you’ll begin with an antipasto platter featuring classic Italian bites. Then you’ll learn how to craft two delicious and hearty dishes – tagliatelle paired with a rich, slow-simmered Bolognese sauce and tender, cheese-stuffed meatballs. And you'll get to enjoy it all with 3-cheese garlic bread. To finish the evening, you’ll toast to la dolce vita with a creamy tiramisu dessert cocktail for a sweet, indulgent finale. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person. Must be 21+ to attend.
MEET THE CHEF:
David Prewett grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. Having developed a love for cooking from his mom at the age of five, he has been diving into the culinary landscape ever since. He graduated with his master’s degree in nutrition. Specializing in scratch cooking and a variety of cuisines with emphasis in Italian, Asian, and, of course, Southern comfort food. He looks forward to taking you on an exciting culinary adventure full of laughter, amazing food, and great conversation. Bon appetite!
