Come join Chef Abbey Cochran in the HKS Kitchen for a cozy, apple-inspired cooking class that’s bursting with deliciously creative sweet and savory combinations perfect for fall. To start, a bold appetizer – sharp cheddar and green apple puff pastry drizzled with a cayenne maple glaze delivers the perfect balance of heat and sweetness while giving you a taste of what’s to come. Next, you’ll be guided through a series of mouthwatering recipes, including fig balsamic chicken thighs roasted with red onion and rosemary and a rich and creamy caramelized apple risotto with tender kale and crispy prosciutto. As the evening winds down, you’ll create a toasted walnut and pie crust crumble topping, the perfect finishing touch for the decadent apple pie panna cotta chef will be bringing to share with you. Get your tickets while they’re still ripe for the picking. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.

MEET THE CHEF:

Abbey Cochran is a food enthusiast who is a Missouri native with Carolina roots. College took her to North Carolina where she studied Restaurant, Food & Beverage Management. Upon falling in love with Charlotte, she resided in the area for nearly a decade while immersing herself in the hospitality and food & beverage industries. While culinary courses were helpful during college, she really got inspired and passionate when she worked as a spice merchant. Abbey has always had a love for food and how it brings people together, as food is a universal language that everyone understands. She takes that mindset into her current role at Onyx Coffee Lab, where she works as a specialty coffee roaster.
