Ryan will guide participants through four thoughtfully curated pairings featuring exceptional French wines from The Wine Shop, each expertly matched with classic French-inspired bites.
This special edition celebrates the rich culinary traditions of France, exploring how regional wines and cuisine naturally complement one another. From crisp Loire Valley whites and elegant Burgundian selections to expressive Rhône reds and refreshing French rosés, you’ll experience a range of styles that showcase the diversity and charm of French winemaking.
Throughout the class, you’ll learn how to properly taste wine—from sight and aroma to structure and finish—while Ryan breaks down the principles behind successful food and wine pairings and explains what makes each combination work so beautifully. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into France’s iconic wine regions, signature grapes, and the timeless connection between French food and wine culture.

MEET THE SOMMELIER:
With over 20 years in the hospitality industry from operating restaurants in nearly every position in the kitchen, behind the bar, and on the floor to running a private chef business, working in retail wine sales, food/beverage consulting, and selling wine for various distributors across several markets, Ryan joined Honeycomb Kitchen Shop in November of 2025 as a Wine Specialist to offer his expertise to the community at large.
