Celebrate bright Mediterranean-inspired flavors and the art of handmade pasta in this delicious hands-on cooking class with Chef Amelia Holaday in the HKS Kitchen. Your evening will begin with a chef-made appetizer of Whipped Feta with Roasted Cherry Tomatoes and a Pesto Drizzle, a creamy, tangy dish bursting with fresh herbs and sweetness from slow-roasted tomatoes. Then you’ll learn the technique for making Classic Egg Dough Pasta from Scratch, which you’ll transform into Mezzelune – moon-shaped masterpieces – and fill with a savory Squash Filling for a comforting seasonal centerpiece. You'll serve your pasta dressed in a vibrant chef-made Pesto Sauce, perfect for showcasing fresh basil and balancing the richness of the pasta. And you'll finish on a refreshing note with a slice of Lemon Seaside Pie, a bright and creamy dessert that captures the sunny flavors of citrus and makes the perfect ending to this coastal-inspired meal. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.

MEET THE CHEF

Growing up in a food-centric family, Amelia Holaday learned the value of community and shared meals early on. This fostered a love for flavors and all things hosting, eventually leading her to open her own restaurant, which operated for several years as a creperie and specialty coffeeshop. During this time Amelia deepened her passion for building connections through food, and found a great amount of fulfillment providing a space for underrepresented communities to gather. 

After moving to Northwest Arkansas, she found herself right at home in the Honeycomb kitchen- combining her love of food with planning and organizing has in many ways been a dream job! 

A longtime DIY-er and advocate for a simple life, she currently spends most of her free time building out her tiny house, and finding space in 240 square feet to create delicious and nutritious meals on a budget.
