Is it time for your taste buds to rise and shine? Chef Amanda Arafat is coming to the HKS Kitchen with just the wake up call you're looking for, bringing the bold, comforting flavors of the Eastern Mediterranean to your table. You’ll begin with a fresh and zesty mortar-and-pestle “salad” known as Daqa made with Ripe Tomatoes, Jalapeño, Onion, and Fragrant Dill served with Warm Pita for scooping. For the main course, you’ll master Turkish Eggs—Silky Poached Eggs nestled over Garlicky Yogurt and finished with a drizzle of Spiced Butter and Herbs. Poached eggs can be intimidating but Chef Amanda will give you reliable techniques so they turn out perfect every time. Guests will aslo make a Quick Flat Bread to round out this dish. Then, you’ll end on a sweet note with the chef's delicate Pistachio Rose Baklava. Its flaky layers infused with floral syrup and crunchy nuts pair perfectly with a soothing Cup of Hot Tea. This culinary journey is sure to be an unforgettably tasty adventure. Recipes are included, with exception of chef's top secret baklava recipe. Tickets are priced per person.
