It's here!! It's finally mudbug season and time to have a culinary adventure with Chef Maudie in this hands on Cajun-style cooking class in the HKS Kitchen. Chef Maudie will kick things off with her delicious crawfish and corn bisque. Then she will instruct you step-by-step how to make a rich and savory crawfish bites in phyllo cups, followed up with crawfish and veggie rice. The crawfish used in class will be fresh from the gulf just like Maudie likes it! Find out how she creates these delicious dishes that have been warming the bellies of her restaurant patrons for years. Chef Maudie will also be discussing Cajun ingredients and seasonings so you can recreate these authentic dishes in your very own kitchen. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.

MEET THE CHEF:
Born and raised in New Orleans, Chef Maudie Schmitt has an extensive restaurant heritage and learned to cook from the many great chefs in her own lively family. She taught special education for 23 years until deciding to open a restaurant. Cafe Rue Orleans opened in 2001, and has been blessed with much success in the NWA area. Chef Maudie recently competed on Food Network's Supermarket Stakeout where she was a runner up!
