Come and celebrate with Chef Katie for a special Good Friday cooking class! Upon arrival there will be an appetizer of leek and potato soup, perfectly creamy and packed with flavor. Next, you’ll prepare delicious salmon fish cakes, served with a delicious tartar sauce that complements the rich, flaky fish. Alongside, you’ll make a vibrant asparagus and pea salad, full of fresh ingredients and bright flavors. To finish off the meal, there will be the traditional simnel cake, a light, spiced fruitcake with a lovely layer of marzipan. This class is the perfect way to celebrate Good Friday with a meal that’s both meaningful and delicious, offering a wonderful balance of savory and sweet. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.

MEET THE CHEF:

Katie Helams, owner of Grow NWA, is a UK native who has over 20 years experience in the culinary field. After completing her training in the UK she came to Big Cedar Lodge in Branson, Missouri, as a culinary intern. After that, she worked in the UK and Asia to further her culinary knowledge. Since moving to NWA with her family she has turned her hand to indoor farming. She currently owns and operates a small microgreen farm in Bentonville and gets immense joy in sharing them with others. This allows her to stay connected to her culinary roots.
