Bright, fresh, and full of sunshine, this citrus-inspired cooking class led by Chef Helen Lampkin in the HKS Kitchen celebrates the vibrant flavors of the season. Wake up your taste buds as you sip on a refreshing grapefruit lemonade mocktail and enjoy a colorful chef-prepared citrus salad to kick things off. Then, roll up your sleeves to create a delicious menu featuring pan-seared shrimp topped with avocado grapefruit salsa served alongside fragrant cilantro lime rice. To finish, you’ll make a sweet and delicious broiled grapefruit with a brown sugar crisp topping—a perfectly balanced dessert that highlights the beauty of citrus from start to finish. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.

MEET THE CHEF:
Helen Lampkin, woman of faith, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, lives an inspired “no ordinary” life based on the words found in Colossians 3:23 – “do all things wholeheartedly to the Lord.” This inspiration is at the heart of all she does and has led her to become an entrepreneur (founder of My Brother’s Salsa), artist, adventurous cook, recipe developer/writer, food stylist, and blogger.
