Experience the rich culinary traditions of Portugal with Chef Kevin Quinn in the HKS Kitchen in this hands-on cooking class featuring classic dishes from both the coast and countryside. Your evening will begin with bites of Pasteis de Bacalhau, Portugal’s beloved Salt Cod Fritters, and sips of refreshing Porto Tónico, a popular Portuguese aperitif. For the main course, you'll create Porco à Alentejana, a signature dish that combines tender pork with briny clams in a flavorful sauce, along with a curated Wine Pairing from The Wine Shop at Honeycomb accompanied by a vibrant Salada de Polvo showcasing the fresh flavors of octopus, olive oil, and herbs. To finish, chef will treat you to Pasteis de Nata, Portugal’s iconic famous flaky custard tarts with their signature caramelized tops. Throughout the evening, you'll discover the ingredients, traditions, and cooking methods that make Portuguese cuisine one of Europe’s most distinctive and rewarding culinary treasures. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person. Must be 21+ to attend.

MEET THE CHEF
Chef Quinn is originally from New Jersey and has a LOT of experience in cooking. He went to the Culinary Institute of America in New York and then worked in several well-known restaurants, including The Barr Mansion and the Gotham City Restaurant Group. He has a passion for teaching and has taught at Le Cordon Bleu and Escoffier. Outside of work, he mentors high school students in cooking competitions and enjoys golfing, relaxing, and traveling with his family.
