with Helen Lampkin, founder of My Brother's Salsa and Helen's Table
Celebrate the peak flavors of summer tomatoes in the HKS Kitchen with Chef Helen Lampkin in this hands-on cooking class, where you'll learn a variety of techniques that transform this seasonal favorite into an unforgettable menu. Your evening will start off with a taste of chef’s vibrant Charred Tomato Salsa served with Warm Corn Tortilla Chips. Then you’ll learn to make a Homemade Tomato Sauce. While it can elevate countless future meals, in this class it will serve as the key ingredient in the Creamy Tomato Soup you’ll be making. Additionally, you’ll create a Charred Corn, Bacon, and Tomato Tostada layered with smoky, sweet, and savory flavors. And you’ll finish the evening with an unexpected and refreshing pairing – a Watermelon Wedge topped with rich Tomato Confit, showcasing the delicious versatility of tomatoes from start to finish. The time to celebrate tomato season is now! Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.
*All class ticket sales are final. No refunds or credit transfers to other classes are available. If you purchase a ticket and are unable to attend, please contact us to check our waitlist.*
