with Amy Anderson of Honeycomb Kitchen
How about trying a new take on the classic soup, sandwich, and salad combo? Come join Chef Amy Anderson in the HKS Kitchen to explore how the bold, comforting flavors of Asian-inspired cuisine can transform a menu full of familiar favorites with just a few creative twists. To set the flavor tone for the evening, you'll begin with Chef’s savory appetizer, Sesame Chicken Dip with Sesame Rice Crackers. Then you’ll focus your attention on tasty new ways you can enjoy this trio of meal combo classics. For the sandwich, you’ll create Asian Sloppy Joes with a dollop of Tangy Slaw to add a tasty touch of zing. Then you’ll make Potsticker Soup filled with delicious, flavorful broth and comforting, dumpling-inspired flavors. To complete the trio, you’ll build a Crunchy Cabbage and Edamame Salad that adds a fresh balance to the meal with crisp textures and traditional Asian ingredients. By evening’s end, you’ll get a taste of how easy it can be to bring Asian flair into your own kitchen using sweet, savory, and umami flavors to elevate your everyday favorites. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.

MEET THE CHEF:
When she was just 18 months old, Amy’s mom woke up to find her in the kitchen “making” cupcakes. Amy was on the right track – pouring dry cake mix into cupcake wrappers she had placed in a muffin tin – but she still had lots to master. And that’s exactly what she did.
Amy’s kitchen now houses an eclectic collection of goodies she’s gathered during 20+ years of working with food-related retailers, categories, and brands. Her weaknesses for Fiesta dinnerware, mixing bowl sets, vintage kitchenware, and cookbooks are prominently displayed there for all the world to see.
