with Helen Lampkin, founder of My Brother's Salsa and Helen's Table
Discover how specialty salts can transform everyday cooking in this hands-on craft salt cooking class with Chef Helen Lampkin in the HKS Kitchen. From appetizer to dessert, you'll explore the unique flavors, textures, and finishing techniques of a variety of artisanal salts. Your evening will begin with an appetizer from chef – a Duet of Cheese Crostini featuring Vanilla Bean-Infused Salt and Chili Flake Sea Salt. Then, you’ll focus your attention on the main course of Pan-Seared Pork Tenderloin with Coarse Pink Himalayan Salt. And you’ll make an irresistible duo of side dishes – Roasted Fingerling Potatoes featuring Smoked Applewood Salt and an Heirloom Tomato and Stone Fruit Caprese with Fleur de Sel – to enjoy with a specially curated Wine Pairing from The Wine Shop at Honeycomb. To end the evening on a sweet and, of course, salty note, Chef Helen will treat you to a decadent Chocolate Ganache Tart with Black Lava Sea Salt that elevates every bite. Throughout the class, you'll cook with and taste an array of premium salts, learning how each enhances flavor, balances sweetness, and adds the perfect finishing touch to your culinary creations. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person. Must be 21+ to attend.
*All class ticket sales are final. No refunds or credit transfers to other classes are available. If you purchase a ticket and are unable to attend, please contact us to check our waitlist.*
