Come discover the vibrant flavors of India with Chef Shaan Choppala in the HKS Kitchen. In this hands-on cooking class, you'll learn to prepare a comforting and colorful meal from start to finish. Your evening will begin with a chef-made appetizer of crispy, deep-fried Fryums (a traditional Indian snack) served alongside Flavorful Dipping Sauces and a warming cup of Chai. Then, you’ll learn to make a rich, aromatic Egg Curry and a trio of complementary dishes to round out the menu–a flavorful Coconut Rice, herbaceous yogurt sauce, Masala Dahi, and hearty Spiced Beans and Potatoes dish–that bring balance and depth to the meal. Along the way, you'll explore essential Indian spices, cooking techniques, and flavor combinations, leaving with the confidence to recreate this delicious feast at home. In addition to being tasty, this class also happens to be vegetarian. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.

MEET THE CHEF:
My name is Shaan Choppala, I’m the founder of Cajindian Cuisine. I grew up eating homemade South Indian curry, and I started my business to make it possible for anyone to experience authentic Indian food at home. My sauce has 15 spices and herbs, is gluten free, and has the right balance of heat. I can’t wait to share this experience with you!
