with Chefs Seth Barber & Michael Collins
Dive on into the HKS Kitchen! Chef Seth Barber is returning to treat you to a delicious evening with the help of Chef Michael Collins, who will be making his debut in the HKS Kitchen. Packed with bold Southern flavors, the shrimp boil menu they’ve created will introduce you to a variety of dishes perfect for gathering and sharing. To kick things off, chefs will treat you to crispy Beer-Battered Fried Pickle Spears, served hot and crunchy with just the right tang. For the main event, you’ll learn how to build a Classic Country Shrimp Boil – shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes, and more – complete with a Homemade Creole Seasoning blend that brings layers of smoky, spicy depth to every bite. For the sides, you’ll make a crisp and creamy Creole Coleslaw for a refreshing contrast, along with Jalapeño Cheddar Cornbread that’s tender, slightly sweet, and packed with a gentle kick—creating a feast that’s hearty, festive, and full of flavor. Grab your tickets today to learn how to tackle this tasty menu. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.

MEET THE CHEFS
Chef Seth's classes draw inspiration from NWA's diverse food culture. With an associate degree in culinary arts from Brightwater: A Center for the Study of Food and degrees in agricultural sciences as well as liberal arts, he focuses on making cooking enjoyable and accessible.
Seth emphasizes the connection between what we cook and the community around us, cultivating a renewed appreciation for ingredients sourced close to home and the farmers who cultivate them. Join him to discover how to create delicious meals that taste good and encourage a stronger connection to the regional food community.
Beyond his passion for food, Seth is a devoted husband, sharing his life and love with his wife Emma.
For Chef Michael, the best recipes are passed down through kitchen-table stories and shared laughs with friends. Rooted in the flavors of home and the lessons of loved ones, Michael’s cooking is driven by one simple goal: the joy of a shared meal. To him, every dish is more than just food; it’s a piece of a story meant to be shared with those around the table.
