with Shaan Choppala, founder of Cajindian Cuisine
Discover the bold fusion of Cajun and Indian flavors with Chef Shaan Choppala in the HKS Kitchen in a hands-on cooking class that brings together the best of two vibrant culinary traditions. You’ll begin the evening with Chef's a smoky, spice-rubbed Cajindian Chicken Leg appetizer. Then you’ll continue the evening’s taste adventure by making a flavor-filled Cajindian Chili layered with aromatic spices and classic Southern ingredients. To accompany this hearty dish, you'll make several complimentary dishes, including tangy Pickled Shallots, tender Cheesy Cornbread, and a refreshing Creamy Lime Slaw to balance its rich, savory flavors. Throughout the class, you'll learn how blending Cajun seasoning with Indian spices can create dishes that are comforting, flavorful, and perfect for sharing around the table. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.
*All class ticket sales are final. No refunds or credit transfers to other classes are available. If you purchase a ticket and are unable to attend, please contact us to check our waitlist.*
MEET THE CHEF:
My name is Shaan Choppala, I’m the founder of Cajindian Cuisine. I grew up eating homemade South Indian curry, and I started my business to make it possible for anyone to experience authentic Indian food at home. My sauce has 15 spices and herbs, is gluten free, and has the right balance of heat. I can’t wait to share this experience with you!
