Celebrate the abundance of summer’s bounty in the HKS Kitchen with a hands-on cooking class from Chef Meleah Gross. The star of the evening’s menu is one very versatile ingredient, summer squash, with each delicious dish crafted to highlight a different flavor and texture. The evening will begin with chef's bright and herbaceous starter – Zucchini Salsa Verde. Then, she’ll instruct you on how to transform simple ingredients into something truly special. While in class, you'll create a silky Zucchini Butter Pasta dish and also make three additional dishes – Hibachi-Style Zucchini, a refreshing Shaved Zucchini Salad, and a savory Zucchini Tart. Each delicious dish highlights a different flavor and texture, allowing you to build your skills and expand your summer squash palate while it’s in peak season. Note this class is vegetarian. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.

MEET THE CHEF

Chef Meleah’s interest in food blossomed as she grew up with Southern food and family recipes but quickly evolved. She’s an Arkansas – born and raised – but has called both NYC and London home. She loves traveling and learning about international cuisines and then using that for inspiration in her kitchen.

Meleah spent 10 years in the design industry before deciding to pursue a career in food. Fast forward to 2021 – she moved to London and enrolled in Leiths School of Food and Wine Diploma program, one of the UK’s top culinary programs.

A private chef and caterer, she is excited about being able to bring a variety of cuisines and flavors to your table.
