with Chef Amanda Arafat of Amanda Makes
Discover the comforting, plant-forward flavors of the Levant in the HKS Kitchen with Chef Amanda Arafat in this hands-on cooking class celebrating simple ingredients and time-honored traditions. The experience begins with an appetizer of chef-made Tabbouleh, a vibrant herb salad bursting with fresh parsley, lemon, and tomatoes. You’ll then learn to prepare a beloved Palestine dish – Mujaddara, Brown Lentils and Rice topped with deeply Caramelized Crispy Fried Onions, known for its rich flavor and satisfying simplicity. To round out the meal, you’ll make a cool and refreshing Yogurt Cucumber Salad, balancing the warm, savory notes of the main dish with creamy tang and fresh herbs. This class highlights how humble ingredients can come together to create a nourishing and deeply flavorful vegetarian meal. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.
