with Chef Amanda Arafat of Amanda Makes
The culinary traditions of the Middle East are greatly influenced by the Mediterranean climate; the ancient religions; and Europe, Africa, and Asia through the trade routes that have been used for centuries. Join Chef Amanda in our HKS Kitchen as she brings you on a culinary journey to enjoy an authentic Middle Eastern breakfast. Guests will greeted with fresh labneh served with za'atar & olive oil (labneh is a soft Middle Eastern cheese made from yogurt). In the hands on portion of the class, participants will follow instruction to make shakshuka - a savory dish featuring poached eggs and simmered tomatoes with spices. Next the class will make ful mudammas, an ancient dish of fava beans, garlic, and lemon. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.
*All class ticket sales are final. No refunds or credit transfers to other classes are available.*
