This special edition celebrates the rich diversity of Italy's legendary wine regions, from the rolling hills of Tuscany and Piedmont to the volcanic slopes of Sicily and the picturesque vineyards of Veneto. You'll explore a variety of styles, including crisp whites, vibrant sparkling wines, elegant reds, and bold, full-bodied classics, while learning how Italy's unique climates, regional traditions, indigenous grape varieties, and centuries-old winemaking heritage shape every bottle.
Throughout the class, you'll learn how to properly taste wine—from sight and aroma to structure and finish—while Ryan breaks down the principles behind successful food and wine pairings and explains what makes each combination work so beautifully. Join us as we explore the flavors, landscapes, and timeless winemaking traditions that have made Italy one of the world's most celebrated and influential wine-producing countries.

MEET THE SOMMELIER:
With over 20 years in the hospitality industry from operating restaurants in nearly every position in the kitchen, behind the bar, and on the floor to running a private chef business, working in retail wine sales, food/beverage consulting, and selling wine for various distributors across several markets, Ryan joined Honeycomb Kitchen Shop in November of 2025 as a Wine Specialist to offer his expertise to the community at large.
