with Chef Seth Barber
Get a head start on celebrating National Hobbit Day (Sept. 22) in the HKS Kitchen with Chef Seth Barber as he shares a cozy menu of Middle-earth-inspired cuisine featuring a feast worthy of a hobbit's table. Your evening will begin with a chef-made appetizer of Bilbo's Seed Cakes served with Garden Blend Whipped Cream Cheese and a refreshing glass of Rosie's Strawberry Cider. Then you’ll get to work preparing the main course, Barliman's Brown Ale Pork Medallions topped with Mushroom Ragout, and you’ll complete the meal with a side of Samwise's Oven-Roasted Mashed Po-tay-toes, perfectly paired with Gaffer Gamgee's Savory Garlic Confit. Throughout the class, you'll learn a variety of cooking techniques while making recipes inspired by the warmth, hospitality, and hearty flavors of Tolkien's beloved world, creating a memorable meal fit for any unexpected gathering. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person. Must be 21+ to attend.
