with Miranda Kohout of Conifer
Join Chef Miranda and the Honeycomb staff for a sweet and creative cake class where you'll create and build your own stunning mini cake! You'll start the evening with an appetizer of gougères, a French style cheese puff- the perfect savory bite before you start your cakes! Using a soft and moist vanilla cream cake as your base, you’ll learn the art of assembling and decorating with mascarpone-whipped cream frosting—a dreamy, light, and luscious topping that’s perfect for any occasion. You’ll also create a fruit filling to add layers of flavor and color. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned baker, this hands-on class will guide you through every step, from baking to decorating, so you can leave with a beautifully crafted cake that’s as delicious as it is gorgeous. Come ready to get creative, have fun, and take home a masterpiece to impress family and friends! Tickets are priced per person. Recipes will be provided.
*All class ticket sales are final. No refunds or credit transfers to other classes are available.*
MEET THE CHEF
Miranda graduated from the French Pastry School in Chicago in 2005. Her pastry career began at NoMI, a Michelin-star restaurant in Park Hyatt’s flagship property on Michigan Avenue. It continued at Goddess & Grocer, Hoosier Mama Pie Company, and The Bristol. In 2015, she, her husband, and their dog Doc, relocated to Northwest Arkansas. Her introduction to the NWA culinary scene was at The Farmer’s Table in Fayetteville, where their passion for local products and support of area farmers shaped her perspective on food and cooking in her new home. If you’re a fan of beloved local spots, there’s a good chance you’ve been introduced to her pastries and baked goods - she's created desserts for Pressroom, The Hive, and baked pies at Wright’s BB. Currently, she consults on the dessert menu at Conifer in Bentonville.
