Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What exactly is pH Delight Simple Syrup? A: pH Delight (formerly known as "Onyx Delight") is an artisan simple syrup crafted by Pink House Alchemy in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It combines three distinct flavors—rich vanilla, spicy cinnamon, and earthy honey—to create a complex, layered syrup that enhances both cocktails and everyday beverages. Made from organic, locally sourced, and responsibly sourced ingredients, it's been a favorite since the early 1990s.

Q: What flavors can I taste in this syrup? A: pH Delight features a trifecta of flavors: rich vanilla, warm spicy cinnamon, and earthy honey notes. Together, these create a complex, sophisticated syrup that's neither too sweet nor overpowering—it enhances rather than masks.

Cocktails: Mix into whiskey, bourbon, rum, or vodka cocktails for a vanilla-cinnamon-honey complexity
Coffee: Add a splash to hot or cold coffee for a gourmet flavor boost
Tea: Sweeten and flavor hot or iced tea with a sophisticated taste
Baking: Use in baked goods like cakes, cookies, donuts, or coffee cake
Desserts: Drizzle over ice cream, yogurt, or whipped cream
Mocktails: Create non-alcoholic drinks by mixing with sparkling water or club soda

Q: Is pH Delight vegan? A: Yes! pH Delight is vegan-friendly. It contains no animal products—only plant-based and mineral ingredients.

Q: Is pH Delight organic? A: All Pink House Alchemy products are made with organic, local, or responsibly sourced ingredients. The focus is on quality over certification, so each ingredient is thoughtfully sourced to support local farmers and sustainable practices.

Q: What size is the bottle? A: pH Delight comes in a 16 oz glass bottle. This size typically makes 12-16 cocktails or multiple cups of flavored coffee/tea, depending on how generously you pour.

Q: How long does pH Delight last after opening? A: Store pH Delight in a cool, dry place or in the refrigerator after opening. Properly stored, it will keep for several months. Because it's made with organic ingredients and no artificial preservatives, we recommend using it within 2-3 months of opening for best flavor.

Q: How do I use it in cocktails? A: For cocktails, use ½ to 1 oz of pH Delight per drink, depending on your taste preference and drink size. Q: Can I use less syrup for a lighter flavor? A: Absolutely! Start with ½ oz and adjust to your taste. pH Delight is concentrated, so a little goes a long way. You can use as much or as little as you prefer to get the flavor intensity you want.

Q: What makes Pink House Alchemy different from other syrups? A: Pink House Alchemy syrups are designed to enhance the flavor of spirits rather than mask them. Each blend is carefully crafted with high-quality, locally sourced botanicals, roots, barks, fruits, and herbs. Q: Can I use this syrup in a cocktail shaker? A: Yes! Dissolve the syrup with a small amount of liquid (like citrus juice or water) first if possible, then add other ingredients and shake as usual. This helps the syrup blend evenly throughout your drink.

Other varieties like Lavender, Mexican Chile, or Vanilla Bean offer different flavor experiences. Choose based on your preferred flavor and drink type.
