Back by popular demand, we welcome Chef Brittany Eddelbuttel back into the HKS Kitchen for a taste of the Mediterranean! Upon arrival, your culinary journey will start with tzatziki, a refreshing yogurt and cucumber dip infused with garlic and dill, paired perfectly with hummus, a creamy blend of chickpeas, tahini, lemon, and garlic, served with warm pita bread. Next, learn the art of crafting a Greek salad, a colorful ensemble including juicy tomatoes, cucumbers, briny olives, and creamy feta cheese tossed and seasoned in a tangy olive oil, capturing the essence of Mediterranean freshness. Continue your exploration while making Greek chicken skewers, tender marinated chicken pieces cooked to perfection, offering a savory and aromatic main course. Lastly, discover the simplicity and elegance of lemon roasted potatoes, crispy with bursts of flavor paired perfectly with the skewers. Join us for an evening of learning and indulgence as we bring the tastes of Greece to your table, celebrating the richness and tradition of Mediterranean cuisine. Recipes will be provided. MEET THE CHEF:
Chef Brittany Eddelbuttel, small business owner of Eddelbuttel Nutrition and faculty member at Brightwater, is a Registered Dietitian and holds a master’s degree in human nutrition. Chef Brittany is originally from New South Wales, Australia and has lived in Bentonville for 20 years. Chef Brittany completed her AAS in culinary arts at NWACC, completed her undergraduate degree in dietetics at the University of Arkansas, and competed her Master of Science at the University of Alabama. Brittany enjoys working alongside skilled professionals and being an educator and mentor to both students and the community. Chef Brittany specializes in easy and nutritious meals that anyone can do at home. In her free time, Brittany enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, frequenting farmers markets, and dining at local restaurants. Chef Brittany is the owner and founder of Eddelbuttel Nutrition; offering convenient Telehealth nutrition counseling, meal planning, meal preparation, and private cooking lessons.
